December 11, 2024 – Marine lubricants supplier LENOL held two technical seminars in Japan, focussing on the challenges for engine operation posed by the IMO 2050 emission reduction goals for the shipping industry. The seminars took place in Tokyo and Imabari on October 29 and 30, 2024.

Organised by LENOL’s highly experienced Japanese team with support from international experts from LENOL offices in Dubai and Hamburg, both events were well attended and received very positive feedback from all guests.

During the seminar, LENOL showcased several case studies that highlighted the impressive performance of their new generation cylinder oils. These oils are specially formulated with enhanced detergency and dispersancy capabilities, designed to meet the demands of modern engines and alternative fuels in the market. LENOL boasts an extensive portfolio of fully approved cylinder oils that cater to various operational conditions. Among these, the LENOL CLX 40, classified as Category II cylinder oil, provides reliable protection for engines under different operating conditions, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. In addition, LENOL CLX 20 is specifically formulated for compatibility with Ultra-Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (ULSFO) and other alternative fuels, making it an ideal choice for environmentally conscious ship operation.

At the receptions after the seminars, guests were invited to share their thoughts and continue discussions in a pleasant atmosphere. The participants expressed their positive impression of the seminars, appreciating in particular the presentation of relevant real case studies and the insight into LENOL’s product quality and product development.
